Join with us as we remember our co-patrons of the Diocese, the Martyrs of Papua New Guinea.

Date: October 18, 2014 @ 12noon
Venue:
Cathedral Church of Christ the King
49 Lydiard Street South, Ballarat

This day of remembrance is being held in conjunction with our Diocesan Synod, and we are asking each parish to send along a special collection with their Synod rep's to be taken up at the Offertory as a Diocesan thanksgiving to be onforwarded to The Anglican Board of Missions, Martyrs Appeal.

We ask all people of the Diocese and beyond to join with us as we celebrate our co-Patrosn the Martys of Papua New Guinea.

All powerful and ever living God,
turn our weakness into strength.
As you gave your Martyrs of Papua New Guinea the courage to suffer death for Christ,
give us the courage
to live in faithful witness to you.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Meagan Morrison, ABM's PNG Program Coordinator and Partner Liaison Officer reflects upon the significance of the New Guinea Martyrs.
