The Anglican Diocese of Ballarat takes all complaints of misconduct very seriously. This information is intended to help you if you wish to make a complaint, have been or are being abused or harassed by a member of the Anglican Diocese of Ballarat.

Victorian law provides that any adult with information on child sexual abuse must tell the Police: Crimes Act 1958, s327.

Making a Complaint Against Clergy
or Lay Church Workers

A Director of Professional Standards has been appointed by the Ballarat Diocese to respond to all complaints of misconduct including sexual, physical, spiritual or emotional abuse by clergy or lay church workers.

The Director of Professional Standards is as independent as possible to the Diocese of Ballarat but is renumerated by the  Diocese.

The Director of Episcopal Standards responds to all complaints of misconduct including, but not limited to, sexual, physical, spiritual or emotional abuse by Diocesan Bishops.
